The Knights Avenue is the most famous and the most visited place in Rhodes. This street is between the Harbour and the Grand Masters Palace. On both sides of the street, there is a line of inn’s belonging to the members of Hospitalers order.
In the 14 century, the buildings were constructed in Gothic style for the Knights. It was a place to get together and stopover. The coat of arms and the flags displayed on the buildings showed which inn hosted of which country’s Knights. Today it serves as a museum.
